I’ve made great progress with this adorable, sweet, beautiful children’s book! The final proof version was approved, and it’s officially in the pipeline.

I’m scheduled to be on a couple of podcasts and will send links when they are available. I will be doing a book signing at the Barnes & Noble near the White House on November 14. I will be at Steel City Con in Pittsburgh, December 4–6, and the Mt. Pleasant holiday market on December 13.

Current Events

As The Descendants sang at The Anthem earlier this month, EVERYTHING SUCKS! Punk music is wonderfully blunt. It really sucks for endangered species, including wolves, and everyone who loves animals, nature, and understands the importance of biodiversity. Election Day is coming soon, November 2; please have a set plan in place, as many things have changed since the last one.

Book Review

I read Panacea Genesis by L. Ana Ellis and loved it. This is the review I wrote for Goodreads.

I recently read three novels: Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver, Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, and Panacea Genesis by L. Ana Ellis, and I liked Panacea Genesis the most. Demon Copperhead and Fourth Wing were great stories. Kingsolver creates heartbreaking characters and keen social commentary, and Yarros's book was fun, with action and spicy sexual tension. Still, these stories have been told many times, and at this point, I’m over dragons. When I read Panacea Genesis, I could not put it down. It’s unique, creative science fiction that explores issues society faces today (even though it takes place in 2115), including AI and virtual reality. Who benefits, who gets hurt, and why is comfort and convenience more important than anything else? The characters are adults, complex, and well-written. If I had to compare it to movies, I would say it’s a mix of Terminator, The Matrix, and Blade Runner. I am eager to read book two in the Panacea Trilogy.

After I finish a good book, I love writing a review. I will often give a star rating if the author has sold millions, but if it’s a new or indie author, I will rate it and write a review because I know they will be excited when they read it. It will inspire them to keep writing. It’s fun to make other people happy, especially authors - and it's so easy!
