It’s book one (of two) in the new series, “Before the Impact.”

The publication date is September 4, 2026.

I’ve been referring to this book for so long, I bet some of you thought it did not exist – but it does! This novel is about Florida, politics, friendship, the environment, and of course, extraterrestrials. It’s about what led up to the July 14 global mass shooting: corruption, the actions taken and not taken, and conspiracies.

Here is the blurb:

Florida has always been a peculiar place, but a new darkness has slithered in.

A deadly poison has descended upon the Sunshine State. Two friends from opposite worlds converge to fight it. If they fail, Florida's environment will be irreparably damaged. Victoria Wallace runs for U.S. Congress to pass policies that protect nature and people, believing even she, a high-strung and naïve environmentalist, can make a difference. She quickly learns that influencing politics is more difficult than she imagined. Throughout her campaign, she is exposed to the vicious, dark side of politics, including money-obsessed consultants, a spoiled-rotten religious fanatic, and a bizarre and relentless stalker.

Aya Martinez has never fit into her corrupt, polluting, "Big Sugar" family, preferring to be in nature. Aya is rooting for Victoria's success and supports her campaign by gathering secret intel from her well-connected, wealthy family and from the Kennedy Space Center, where an unimaginable conspiracy could change everything. She knows the campaign is a long shot, but Victoria's success is critical if they hope to alter Florida's destructive path before it's too late.
