Current Events
Like last month, I’m still somewhat on hiatus from the news. Government shutdowns, mass shootings, and constant wars are just too depressing. And Jane Goodall died, a hero to animals, nature, science, and me. She spent her life educating people about the importance of biodiversity. May she rest in peace.

Book Review
I read Destination Monterey, by Ann Shepphird. Cozy mystery is not my usual genre, but I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Earlier this year, I traveled to Monterey and had a spectacular time. Destination Monterey nails the beauty and atmosphere, almost making the peninsula a character. The main character's name is Sam, and she gets a work assignment that would be a dream come true for me. The writing is flawless and the mystery intriguing. I highly recommend this book.
