Current Events

Just release the damn files. The victims deserve justice.

The longest government shutdown in history ended. As a resident of Washington, D.C., it directly impacted many of my friends and family, and did not seem to accomplish anything. We need better politicians.

To date, there have been 182 rocket launches worldwide this year, with 94 of those from Brevard County, Florida. Hopefully, they aren’t causing more space debris. And a man in Shillington, PA, was shot by his dog. This is the second time this year a man has been shot by his dog in America. Both were ruled accidents.

Book Review

I read Born To Run, by Bruce Springsteen. I love a good origin story, and I loved this memoir. I finished Born To Run in time to see the movie Deliver Me From Nowhere in the movie theater. I read Deliver Me from Nowhere by Warren Zanes last year, so Born To Run completed the picture of the fascinating life of Bruce Springsteen. My favorite Springsteen album is Nebraska, and I was thrilled they made the book into a movie.

I recommend it all, the music, the books, and the movie!
